Split Screen View? | Notepad++ Community

This is an easy to use feature that really helps when comparing two documents. Often times I will use this when writing code so that I can see related code that I am writing at the same time. It makes me wonder if there is someone who could tell us how this feature wound up with this name. Anyways, to the instructions…. First thing we need to do is have the two documents open that we would like to see side by side.

Then, we will Right Click on the tab of the document that we would like to be in the right panel of the slit screen, and click on Move to Other View. After click on Move to Other View you will now have your documents in a split screen layout. You can see in my split screen below I have index.
